Hours, Policy & Information

Hours of Operation

For your convenience, the bookstore is open during the following hours:

Stockton Campus

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Modesto Campus

  • Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

After hours bookstore assistance is available Monday through Friday in the Fiscal Office during normal college business hours. Please note: During Break Week, bookstore hours are: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (see the college calendar for specific dates).

Buy-Back Policy

Students may sell back books during the buy-back period for up to 50% of the original purchase price if the textbook(s) are scheduled to be re-used in the upcoming quarter. No cash refunds will be given; all refunded amounts will be credited towards the student's account.

Buy-Back Period – Finals Week and Break Week only (see the college calendar for specific dates).

Refunds & Exchanges

In cases of publisher defect(s), refunds or exchanges will be given at the bookstore's discretion and only with a valid receipt. Student-damaged books are not eligible for refund or exchange even if a publisher defect exists. No cash refunds will be given; all refunded amounts will be credited towards the student's account.

Return Policy

A full refund for returnable* books will be given during the following periods of time as long as you meet the listed requirements:

First Week of the Quarter

  • You must have a valid receipt.
  • The textbook(s) must be in good condition — absolutely no marks or damage to the textbook.

Second and Third Week of the Quarter

  • You may return your textbook(s) only if you are withdrawing from a class; you must show a copy of your "Change of Schedule" form as verification.
  • The textbook(s) must be in good condition — absolutely no marks or damage to the textbook.

Please note: Books can not be returned after the third week of the quarter.

* Non-Returnable Books

  • Testing guides, study guides, lab workbooks.
  • Textbooks containing software sets of any kind.
  • Shrink-wrapped or boxed items that have been opened or unwrapped.

No cash refunds will be given; all refunded amounts will be credited towards the student's account.
