National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Services

Students who wish to obtain credit for subjects taken at other regionally accredited colleges/universities must submit transcripts directly from their previous institutions.

  • Credit will be allowed only for subjects related to the degree curriculum as outlined in the Humphreys University General Cagalog
  • Only courses completed with a C- or better are accepted as transferable.

The University recognizes the following tests and will award a maximum of 45 quarter units toward a degree:

  • the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
  • Advanced Placement (AP) examinations

The University will grant up to 12 units of undergraduate credit based on documented learning from:

  • work experience
  • volunteer work
  • military training
  • certification programs
  • professional development
  • other nontraditional modalities

To apply for experiential learning credit

  • submit Petition for Experiential Learning Credit to the academic chair of their department
  • If experiential learning credit is awarded, the chair will communicate the decision to the student
  • the completed petition form will be forwarded to the Registrar for notation on the student’s official transcript

Work experience units will be given CR (credit) as the grade, which will not factor into the cumulative grade point average.

The Registrar classifies regular students as first-year students, sophomore, junior, or senior as follows:

First-year: Students who have completed fewer than 45 quarter units.

Sophomore: Students who have completed at least 45 but fewer than 90 quarter units with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Junior: Students who have completed at least 90 but fewer than 135 quarter units with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Senior: Students who have completed at least 135 quarter units with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Virtual: All undergraduate courses meet via videoconference on Zoom at the regularly scheduled class day and time, 6:15-9:45 PM. Students will log in to Moodle prior to the first meeting for information regarding Zoom account creation and meeting links. For those graduate courses meeting on Google, contact Professor Ridenour for log-on information.

Blended: Courses meet virtually on Zoom at the regularly scheduled class day and time, 6:15-9:45 PM. In addition, students may attend classes on campus.

Hybrid: Courses meet both remote/online and virtually on Zoom or on the designated campus, if indicated, according to a described schedule. Content and assignments are conducted in both modalities. Hybrid A Virtual meetings begin Week 1; Hybrid B Virtual meetings Week 2. Class time is scheduled for 6:15-9:45 PM

Online: Courses are conducted entirely online through the Moodle course management system. All activities are conducted electronically. Remote: In addition to mandatory face-to-face meetings, the course is attended remotely.

Law Schedule

Students at Humphreys University are guaranteed certain rights regarding school records and information provided to the University by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. These rights include:

  • The right to inspect and review official school records
  • The right to challenge the correctness of these records
  • The right of controlled access and release of information

The University may release to third parties certain directory information such as name, address, telephone number, and date of attendance. A student may restrict or prevent access to this information by any third party by requesting in writing that the Registrar not release this information. These rights are designed to protect the privacy of all students. Official school records are kept in the Registrar’s Office. Additional information on how to exercise these rights may be obtained from the Registrar.

Students are entitled to catalog rights with respect to the requirements of their degree program by maintaining continuous attendance.

Continuous attendance is defined as having completed at least one academic credit within the prior three quarters.

If continuous attendance is maintained and the degree objective is not changed, students may choose to graduate under the requirements for the degree in effect at the time they began the program at Humphreys University.

Students who change their major must meet the degree requirements in effect at the time of the change.

  • A student may elect to “jump forward” into a more current catalog but may not “jump backward” to a prior catalog.
  • A student is advised that some of their courses may not count toward the requirements of their new major.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to discuss degree changes with their academic advisor.

Disclosure of Student Information

We take your privacy seriously. Read more about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that affords parents the right to have access to their children’s education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records. When a student turns 18 years old, or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, the rights under FERPA transfer from the parents to the student (“eligible student”). The FERPA statute is found at 20 U.S.C. § 1232g and the FERPA regulations are found at 34 CFR Part 99.
