MBA On-Ground Schedule
All MBA students are required to attend a mandatory on-ground weekend once a quarter.
Weekend Schedule:
Saturday
9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Lunch 12:00-1:30 p.m.
1:30-4:00 p.m.
Sunday
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Digital Sign-in and Sign-out Required Daily
Students must digitally sign in and sign out on Saturday and Sunday. Students do not need to sign in or out for lunch.
If a student leaves prior to the designated times, a partial absence will be noted.
Digital sign-in logs are distributed to instructors at the completion of the weekend.
Students who are running late must text/email/phone the DSO or Director of Administrative Services.
Attendance at mandatory on-ground weekends is required for all MBA students. Students are not allowed to interchange assigned weekends.
Failure to attend will result in dismissal from the program.
A student may request an excused absence for the mandatory on-ground weekend due to an emergency.
The following constitutes an emergency:
- medical emergency/emergency surgery (self/spouse/child) (including COVID)
- death of an immediate family member
- a documented incident
- plane delay and cancellations due to severe weather
The student must provide the following documentation for approval of an excused absence due to an emergency:
- signed note from a doctor/hospital on official letterhead
- death certificate or funeral program
- police report
- personal documentation from airline showing proof of delay or cancellation due to weather
Work commitments/conflicts are not considered emergencies and are not eligible for review as an excused absence.
All absences are subject to approval by the DSO/Registrar and Director of Administrative Services.
All students approved for an excused absence must attend the make-up days within that same quarter. Students must confirm in writing that they will attend the quarterly scheduled make-up days. Failure to attend the quarterly make-up days will result in dismissal from the program. Make-up days will not be rescheduled.
Students who miss one day of the on-ground weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, due to sickness or unforeseen circumstances, must return to make up the missed day on the scheduled quarterly make-up days. to make up a partial absence will result in dismissal from the program. Partial absences are subject to approval by the DSO/Registrar or Director of Administrative Services.
