Earn Early College Credit–
Take a Free Summer Class!
Humphreys University provides the opportunity for high school students in grades 11 and 12 to enroll in a college-level free summer class. This program allows eligible high school juniors and seniors to begin earning college credit while they are still in high school. High school students can begin transitioning their thinking from high school level to college level preparedness providing them with a strong foundation for academic success. If approved by your school, college courses may also apply towards high school credit – known as dual enrollment credit.
Ready to Apply? You’re just a few steps away!
Step 1: Submit Official High School Transcript
All high school junior and senior students interested in taking a free summer class must submit an official high school transcript.
Step 2: Complete Application
All students accepted to take a free summer class must complete a “Free Summer/Dual Enrollment Application”. The application fee will be waived.
Step 3: Take Placement Test
All students must take a placement test prior to enrollment. Humphreys University course catalog prerequisite requirements and placement test score guidelines are followed.
The test is administered in the library at Humphreys University and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. Below are the study guides:
When prepared, contact the Special Programs Coordinator to arrange your placement exam.
Step 4: Enroll In A Summer Class

Students will be provided with one free official college transcript upon completion of the free class. Official transcripts may be requested at the Registrar’s Office or online at https://humphreys.populiweb.com/router/request_transcript.
The Benefits of Dual Enrollment
High school juniors and seniors can explore college-level work while still supported by a network of parents, teachers and friends.
- Dual Enrollment credits are college credits, so they transfer to your college or university after you graduate from high school.
- Dual Enrollment can mean Dual Credit. The college course, if approved by the high school, will count toward high school graduation requirements, as well.
- You have the option of graduating from college sooner, or even better, of decompressing your college schedule or adding electives you might otherwise not have had the opportunity to take.
Don’t miss out! Get a head start and take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience a college class while in high school.
