Program Completion and Credential Recommendation
The Humphreys College Multiple Subject Credential Program provides the high-quality training and experience necessary to qualify candidates for the California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After completion of the program, candidates will have the skills necessary to deliver purposeful, standards-based instruction that promotes accelerated academic achievement and prepares students for the diverse 21st century workforce.
The following requirements must be fulfilled prior to being recommended to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) for the Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential:
- Successful completion of all program requirements, including student-teaching, with a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree
- Passage of the Reading Instruction Competency Assessment (RICA)
- Successful completion of all four Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) tasks
** Please note: The College will only provide a record and a recommendation to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). There is no certificate or degree provided by the College for the completion of this program nor does this enable a student to participate in graduation ceremonies.
